🧵 Crazy Quilt

A Crazy Quilt solitaire layout with exposed-card play, stock/waste flow, and dual suit foundations.

Layout

• Quilt Tableau: 5 rows × 8 columns with alternating horizontal/vertical card orientation.
• Stock: Draw pile.
• Waste: Receives drawn cards and selected exposed quilt cards.
• Foundations (8 total):
  • 4 up foundations start at Ace and build up by suit.
  • 4 down foundations start at King and build down by suit.

Core Rule

A quilt card is playable only when one of its short sides is exposed:

• Horizontal cards: left or right side open.
• Vertical cards: top or bottom side open.

How to Play

1. Draw from Stock to Waste.
2. Select an exposed quilt card (or waste top card).
3. Move it to a legal foundation pile, or place an exposed quilt card onto the waste top.
4. Build each suit from both ends (A upward, K downward) until all non-starter cards are cleared.

Win Condition

You win when no cards remain in quilt, stock, or waste.
